This is by far the best Mexican food in the area!!!!! I recommend the 45 and substitute so you get a flour chicken taco and a Chile verde burrito with sauce and onions! Can't go wrong!

Taste of Tequila is a very pleasant restaurant food is great an also very generous love their avocado Salad OMG the best!!! Been a long time since I came home since I graduated from Atwater high an was a great feeling seeing old time friends an reuniting with family .. joyful day cook was great nothing says more when the chef comes out an personally thanks you for coming out an welcomes you to his establishment .. live the humbleness will come again can't wait!!

Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Our server, Wendy was very attentive but not fawning. We will be going back soon!

Found this place on Groupon. I drive by here most of the time and it's funny that I never seen this place around the corner. Great food selection and great prices for the amount of food you get. The taste of the food was awesome. I ordered a Supreme Chicken burrito with green sauce and it's the biggest burrito I have seen around town. Also, the waitress provided excellent customer service. Definitely will be a returning customer.

Trash its not even worth it the service is good but the food not so great

You MUST get the chips and salsa! The chips are fresh and the salsa is one of the most flavorful I've ever had. I have tried several items on the menu and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. Some menu items have a pretty good kick to them, but they aren't hot for hot's sake - there is wonderful flavor in everything I've tried. Friendly wait staff and the cook definitely knows his way around the kitchen. A great meal awaits.

I used to go there n eat as a kid, n up till I was grown n moved away to Florida. The food is by far outstanding. Really good place to eat . If I ever go back n visit, that's the first place I'm stopping to eat. Words can't describe how good their food is. If you never ate there n get a chance to, I highly recommend tequilia cafe. I promise you won't be disappointed.

A small cozy place almost hidden. Great customer service. As you walk in, you are kindly greeted. The food was great and hot when brought to the table. The only thing I can say needed improvement was the salsa for the chips. Other than that great experience.

Hi the service was wonderful, but our food wasn't up to our expectations. I ordered the Taco salad bowl, and there was so much liquid in it, it made it soggy.

The second incarnation of Winton's now-closed Tequila Cafe brings back memories with the same wonderful Mex and Tex-Mex food by a great cook! Serve staff is excellent and a clean, simply-furnished building makes you want to stay and enjoy. Was expecting heavily decorated walls and ceiling like some other places in the area, but a few hanging photos and an almost-life-size likeness of the Tequila Cafe founders at the entry says "Welcome. Please come in and sit down."

#food every bit as good as the old tequila Cafe in a must-try if you want great authentic Mexican food.

I normally don’t rate but I like this place a lot, lots of good food and atmosphere! The carne Asada tacos are what I recommend!

The food is always great no matter what you try. Grew up going to Tequila and now enjoy same great food at Taste of Tequila.

Quaint place with good food. Worth the wait.

Very cool place, immediately felt like family when we walked in. Definitely a unique experience, and when he had a moment the owner, Fermin, came out and talked to us as he did with other tables.The chicken enchilada with green sauce was so damn good, I will drive the 35 miles to come back here again.On Christmas and Thanksgiving anybody eats here for free, a way to show a love and appreciation for their Community is to feed anybody on those two days for free.

The server was very polite and helpful (even one another customer was being rude when the customer didn't know how to read). Their food was really good. The tacos were crispy and fresh. The enchiladas were very good amount of sauce was perfect. The meat was plentiful and the serving size was good. Oh, and the fried ice cream (large enough for the 4 of us to share) didn't last long at all!

First ate here in 1964. Thx to Fermin i still enjoy the flavorful food i have become accustomed to for over 50 years. I am in Fresno, but have traveled to Tequila cafe (now taste of Tequila) without hesitation because i know i am eating the real deal. Went to Atwater High (class of '73) and me and my buddies would go get takeout during lunch even though we were a closed campus. The food is that great!!Thank you Fermin for keeping this establishment going and keeping the family recipes intact.-Mike
